We are pleased to announce that our conversational platform, Tiledesk, has successfully passed the review process run by the Italian Developers team (Department for Digital Transformation + Italian Digital Agency) and has been featured in the Open Source software catalogue, drawn up especially for the government organisations.
The catalogue in question is provided by the Guidelines for Software Acquisition and Reuse which includes reused solutions by the government organisations pursuant to the Code of Digital Administration as well as the third-party open source software solutions.
Our success is testified by a number of clients who chose Tiledesk to meet their needs: the company, namely S3C, specialising in systems and services for multi-channel communication with a view to enabling an advanced customer service solution for LineaAmica and both major national (e.g. Unisalento) and international universities (e.g. University of Valencia).
In particular, the above mentioned Guidelines – adopted in line with the Articles 68 “Comparative analysis of solutions” and 69 “Reuse of solutions and open standards” of the Code of the Digital Administration – provide that the government organisations carry out a comparative technical & economic assessment on the purchase of a software, motivating their choices and favouring open source solutions, including those made available by other government organisations.
This is certainly an important factor to take into account when designing IT solutions for the government and its affiliates.
