OpenAI models break down text into units called tokens, which can be parts of words, punctuation, or emojis. They are groups of characters, which sometimes align with words, but not always. AI tokens can be used with AI features.
How the calculator works
AI features can enhance the conversational abilities of your AI agent. However, these features require tokens.
Based on our analysis, on average, each customer inquiry requires about 3 iterations to be fully addressed.
For each response, the bot will use tokens for both the question and the answer. Additionally, the bot will send different chunks from your knowledge base to generate a humanized response, which consumes tokens separately.
Based on this assumption, the number of tokens consumed during a typical interaction with your AI agent is as follows:
- AI Tokens for each user question: 130
- AI Tokens for each AI Agent response: 390
- AI Tokens for each Knowledge Base Chunk: 650
